Too many "pastors" have been in the news recently stating how "Christians" need to be "born again... again".  I understand what they are trying to emphasize.  Even though, they were trying to point out the need for true Christians to live obedient and holy lives, it is blasphemous to redefine what "born again" means.  This twisting of biblical terminology defined by Jesus Christ himself in John 3-1-21 will cause problems for new converts.  We should use correct terminology instead of making excuses like "that's not what I really meant" or "I meant well".   As true Christians, you are "born again" is the regeneration by the Holy Spirit by the grace of God for your eternal salvation.  It represents the sacrifice of Jesus Christ through his death and resurrection. Due to the imminence and importance of being "born again", true Christians are "born again" ONCE.  Even though it may be just wording, "born again... again" literally means that the sacrifice of Jesus Christ was not effectual the first time, so he had to die again for you.  Two thousand years ago, the humanity committed its greatest sin.  We killed our savior.  How many times does Jesus Christ need to die for your salvation?  It demeans God's sovereignty and His power even though you can claim "I didn't mean it that way".   As true Christians, instead of redefining "born again" to "born again... again", we should correctly learn the importance of what "born again" really means, so we do not empty our Lord's sacrifice.

One of the modern humanism champions, New York Times, posted an interesting article.  New York Times wants to redefine evangelical definition and beliefs. Modern bible highlights what Jesus said in red letters.  This sounds really nice, but we should look into this claim more deeply.  The hidden agenda is that modern Christians should focus on what Jesus said directly in "red letters" in the bible only and avoid talking about Old Testament or any apostolic epistles since they are in black letters.  The premise is built on trying to be more loving and inclusive to the current modern progressive society.  It is sad to see modern Christians trying to be more merciful than Jesus himself.  This movement is not about true loving, but denial of the Scripture as the Word of God.  This type of loving is "Hollywood definition of loving" and not "biblical loving".   If you emphasize Christian to be loving, then are you a Hollywood loving or biblical loving?   http://www.nytimes.com/2016/11/29/opinion/the-evangelicalism-of-old-white-men-is-dead.html?_r=0

매주 꽃꽂이로 수고해 주시는 이은실 자매님의 기도글과 사진 올립니다.   _________________________________________________________ 추수감사절주일입니다. 성경에서 말하는 가을에 하나님께 추수에 대한 감사제 의미의 절기는 초막절이다. 초막절의 다른 명칭은 수장절,추수절등이 있는데 수장절은 곡식을 거두어 저장한다는 의미이고 추수절은 가을에 곡식 추수함을 기념한다는 명칭이다. 이름만 다를뿐이지 모두 다 초막절을 가리킨다. 즉, 성경을 기준으로 하나님께 가을 추수에 대해 감사제를 드리는 절기는 초막절이다. 한해동안 철을 따라 햇빛과 비를 내려 주셔서 논과 밭에 황금빛으로 풍성한 열매들로 저희들을 채워주시는 하나님 은혜에 감사드립니다. Americans are still considered to be the most theologically sound since the Europe has been devastated.  As the 500th anniversary of the Reformation nears, I am assured again that the Reformation was not some rebellion, but God's cleansingof the Church that Jesus bought with his sacrifice.   After nominating Pope Francis, the Roman Catholic churches are in worse conditions than ever.  SBC's Southern Seminary President, Albert Moholer, stated "when we mourn the millenial generation's theological views and faith, the previous generation should not point fingers at them, but look in the mirror since their lack of sound theological faith is the mirror reflection of ours". (paraphrased)   In light of the degradation of the sound biblical teaching in America, how will most Korean American churches face this challenge and reality?  Will be continue to put fellowship over worship, or look in the mirror and repent?  The obedience is better than sacrifice and that is the true faith.   http://blog.lifeway.com/newsroom/2014/10/28/new-research-americans-believe-in-heaven-hell-and-a-little-bit-of-heresy/

격주로 모이는 목자 훈련에서 목자들이 먼저 목자들끼리의 목장모임을 갖습니다.  서로 말씀을 가지고 생각을 나누고 기도제목을 나누는 귀한 시간에 언제나 시간이 부족합니다.  이날은 추수감사주일을 앞두고 마가공동체에서 함께 주일 친교준비를 위해 섬겨주셨습니다.  내일 땡스기빙 음식을 나누면서 수고하신 귀한 손길들을 생각하며 감사의 마음으로 친교의 시간을 가지면 더욱 의미가 있으리라 생각됩니다.  주님이 주신 모든 은혜에 감사드리며....

11월 수요찬양예배는 지역에는 다른 두 찬양팀과 함께 연합하여 예배를 올려드렸습니다.  함께 찬양하니 더 힘이 되고, 시너지 효과가 충만한 시간이었습니다.  하지만, 우리가 함께 했기 때문이 아니라 언제나 동일하신 주님의 임재와 은혜가 충만하기에 우리는 예배할 수 있음을 고백합니다.  앞으로 계속 매월 셋째주 수요일에 있는 찬양예배에 더욱 마음을 같이하여 함께 예배하기 소망합니다.           

커비스의 게임시간은 선생님들이 게임도구가 되어 주기도 하고 피곤하면 배게 삼아 드러 눕기도 하는 아주 가정적인 분위기입니다                       T&T 게임시간으로 가보면 분위기가 확 다르죠.  어찌나 열정들이 넘치시는지.. 심판 보시는 선생님이 긴장하셔야 해요                 T&T 핸드북 타임의 각반 모습입니다.  진지 모드로 열공중                 오늘 상을 받아 기쁜 친구들입니다                     Extra Credit Silver Emblem 을 받는 Hannah 입니다   매주 Closing Ceremony 가 끝나고 미팅때 마다 각 선생님들이 언제 어떻게 예수님을 만났는지 간증하는 시간이 있는데요, 오늘은 백효정 선생님이 은혜를 나누어 주셨어요.    

  일년에 한번 있는 이벤트인 Crazy Hair Day 입니다. 주방에는 거대한 거미가 출현 했네요. 아이들의 즐거움을 위한 이벤트 이지만 어쩐지 선생님들이 더 신나신듯 합니다         집에 있는 필기도구는 다 동원했나봐요           Crazy Hair Day를 빛내준 친구들입니다   핸드북 타임에 상을 받는 Sparks Cluber 들   우연히도 두 명의 Ben 이 Hanglider Book 을 마치고 상을 같이 받네요. 축하해요   Handbook Time 에 상을 받는 T&T Cluber 들     Extra Credit Silver Emblem 을 받는 Julian   첫번째 책을 끝내고 메달을 받는 Jessie.

Whatever the outcome of 2016 election, I know who my King is.  Jesus of Nazareth, the Christ, my Lord and Savior, King of Kings who died for my sins.  He was my king yesterday, He is my king today, and He will be my king tomorrow...   I will find joy and peace in knowing that God is sovereign and whatever the election result is, it was for the advancement of His kingdom!!!        

지난 토요일 오후 1시부터 3시까지 Regional Center에서 디렉터 두분이 나오셔서 장애인들이 받을수 있는 사회복지 제도에 대해서 설명회를 갖였습니다. 거의 30명의 부모님들이 모여서 정보를 얻고 좋은 시간을 갖였습니다.  무엇보다 한인사회에 처음으로 설명회를 하신다고 강사분들이 한인 커뮤니티에 관심을 많이 보이셨습니다.  앞으로 지속적인 관계속에서 한인 장애인들을 더 도울수 있는 일들이 있으리라 믿습니다.
