O Brasil e lindo! (Brazil is beautiful!)

오늘은 브라질 땅밟기를 하는 날입니다. 

Today is the day of our prayer walk in Brazil.

세계 3대 미항중에 하나인 리우데자네이루에 이른 아침부터 차를 타고 갔습니다

투어는 Jade Tour 라는 ADEQ 교회 성도님이 하시는 투어회사가 직접 저희를 맡아주셨습니다 obrigado~!

Early in the morning, we drove to Rio de Janeiro, one of the three most beautiful harbors in the world.

The tour was led by Jade Tour, a company run by a member of ADEQ Church, who personally took care of our group.

To avoid traffic, we left early in the morning on the Jade bus heading to Rio.

트렘을 타고 예수상을 보러 갑니다.  하나님께서 너무 나도 좋은 날씨를 허락해주셔서 예수상 보기에 너무 나도 좋은날이었습니다.

We took the tram to see the Christ the Redeemer statue.
God blessed us with such beautiful weather—it was a perfect day to see the statue.

As the tram climbed higher, we could see the view of Rio.
It was truly a breathtaking city that could never be fully captured by photos.

두번째로 도착한곳은 셀라론 계단.  셀라론이라는 칠레 예술가가 1990 년부터 2013년 사망하기 전까지 세라믹 타일을 붙여 만든 계단입니다

총 215개의 계단에 60개국에서 수집한 2000개가 넘는 타일로 이루어져 있습니다.

The second stop was the Selarón Steps.
They were created by a Chilean artist named Selarón, who began attaching ceramic tiles to the steps in 1990 and continued until his death in 2013.
There are a total of 215 steps, decorated with more than 2,000 tiles collected from 60 different countries.

이번 땅밟기에는 ADEQ 청년들 (특히 저희 노방전도에 통역으로 도와주었던) 이 같이 가서 뜻깊었습니다.  이들도 예수상 투어는 처음이었다고 하네요.

It was especially meaningful that the ADEQ youth—particularly those who helped interpret for us during street evangelism—joined us for this prayer walk.
They said it was actually their first time visiting the Christ statue, too.

이곳은 현대식 건축양식의 카톨릭 성당이었습니다.

This place was a Catholic cathedral with a modern architectural style.

안에는 전부 공기가 외부에서 통하는 형식으로 건물을 지어서 365일 덥지않고 일정한 온도를 유지할수 있다고 하네요.

The building was designed so that air from outside flows naturally through it,
allowing it to stay cool and maintain a constant temperature all year round.

성당에서 만난 칠레에서 온 세 형제분들 전도하신 지원형제님을 목사님께서 축복기도 해주시고 계십니다.

At the cathedral, Pastor Lee prayed a blessing over Brother Jiwon, who had just shared the gospel with three brothers from Chile.

이 동상은 Jesus Homeless Statue이라고 하네요. 자세히 보면 발등에 흉터가 있어요.

This statue is called “Jesus the Homeless.”
If you look closely, you can see nail scars on His feet.

그 다음 간곳은 Jardim 식물원이었습니다.  많은 종류의 식물과 동물들이 있었어요.

원숭이들이 자유롭게 활동하고 있었습니다.

Monkeys were roaming around freely.

엄청난 높이의 palm tree...

And the palm trees—unbelievably tall!

도시 어디서든 예수상이 멀리서 보입니다. 

From almost anywhere in the city, you could still see the Christ statue in the distance.

오늘 주님의 은혜로 비가안오고 멋진 장소와 맛난음식을 먹으면서도 7명이 주님을 영접하는 은혜의 시간이 있었습니다. 

By the grace of the Lord, it didn’t rain today.
While visiting beautiful places and enjoying delicious food, seven people accepted Jesus as their Lord.

마음열고 주님을 영접하신 homeless분을 위해서 다같이 기도했습니다. 

그 옆에서 에스더 자매님이 브라질 청년과 함께 전도하는 모습입니다.

We all prayed together for a homeless man who opened his heart and received Jesus.
Next to him, Sister Esther was seen evangelizing with one of the Brazilian youths.

식물원에서: 미쉘(미국에서 오신 이자매는 영접기도후 고맙다고 내게 정말 필요한 것이었다고 격려해주셨어요.) 

At the botanical garden: Michelle (a sister from the U.S.) prayed the prayer of salvation and thanked us, saying,
“Thank you—it was exactly what I needed.”

교회에서 내리기전: Joao 형제, 한결 형제가 믿음의 도전을 받아들이고

버스 운전사에게도 복음을 전했으며
저와 진희 자매, 현민 형제, 동준 형제가 같이 협력해서 기도하며
주님을 구주로 받아들이는 감격의 시간을 경험했습니다.

김재영 목사님께서 축복기도해주시기 전에 운전기사께서 자기 아내와 아들이 교회를 다니는데
아내의 기도제목이 “자기가 하나님 믿는 것”이었다고 하시네요.

할렐루야! 
통역 도와주신 일라이 형제가 따로 연락해서 ADEQ 주일 저녁 6시 예배에 올 수 있도록 하겠다고 하셨어요.

Before getting off the bus at church:
Brother Joao and Brother Hangyeol boldly shared their faith
and even evangelized to the bus driver.
Together with Sister Jinhui, Brother Hyunmin, and Brother Dongjun,
we prayed and witnessed the driver accept Jesus as his Savior.

Before Pastor Jaeyoung Kim prayed a blessing over him,
the driver shared that his wife and son attend church,
and that his wife had been praying for him to come to faith in God.

Hallelujah!

Brother Ely, who served as our interpreter, said he would personally contact the driver
and invite him to the Sunday 6 p.m. service at ADEQ Church.

리우데제니에로는 너무 나도 이쁜 도시였지만 그 안에는 범죄와 가난이 보이는 땅밟기였습니다.

그리고 이 땅을 다니면서 여기에 있는 영혼들을 만나게해주시고 기도하게 해주심에 감사했습니다. 

ADEQ 교회를 섬기고 계신 일라이 형제가
팀원들과 헤어지기 전에 눈물을 보이시면서 지원 형제님께 도전받았던 것을 나눠주셨어요.

원래 자기들 전도팀은 복음을 거절한 이들에게는 두 번 묻지 않고 바로 넘어갔는데,
저희 새누리 선교팀은 지난 며칠간의 전도사역을 통해 복음을 거절한 이들에게도 다시 한번
“이 복음이 당신의 인생의 마지막 기회일 수도 있다”고 담대하게 전하는 모습을 보고 감동받았다고,
“우리 팀도 이렇게 해야 할 필요를 느꼈다”고 눈물을 글썽이시며 나눠주셨다고 해요.

이번 브라질 선교 노방전도는 복음의 URGENCY를 가지고 복음을 전했던것 같습니다. 

내일은 오지 않을수도 있음을, 저 멀리서 브라질까지 날라온 우리팀을 다시 만날 기회가 또 없을수도 없음을, 

이 만남은 하나님이 계획하셨음을, NOW OR NEVER를 강조하며 복음을 전했습니다. 

그리고 복음을 받아드린 형제 자매님들께 축제의 자리로 초대했습니다. 하늘의 축제요! 

이 땅에서 함께 천국을 누리고 또 천국에서 볼 수 있는 날을 기대하며 

리오에서의 땅밟기 일지를 여기서 마무리하도록 할게요!

Rio de Janeiro was such a beautiful city,  but beneath its beauty, we also saw poverty and crime.

As we walked through the city, we were grateful that God allowed us to meet and pray for the souls living there.

Before parting ways, Brother Ely, who serves at ADEQ Church,
became emotional and shared with tears in his eyes how he was deeply moved by Brother Jiwon’s faith and example.

He said their evangelism team used to stop immediately whenever someone rejected the gospel.
But after witnessing our Sanuri Mission Team’s ministry these past few days—how we boldly shared again, even with those who initially refused,
saying, “This might be your last chance to hear the gospel”—
he was so touched that he said their team also needed to start doing the same.

This Brazil mission trip truly carried the spirit of urgency for the gospel.

We shared the message that tomorrow may never come, that this could be the last chance to meet the team who came all the way from Korea to Brazil,

that this encounter was planned by God, and we preached the gospel with the conviction of NOW OR NEVER.

And to those who received the gospel, we invited them to a feast of celebration—a heavenly festival!

We look forward to the day when we can rejoice together in heaven after having shared heaven on this earth.
