Today's devotional is 2 Chronicles 4:1 - 5:1
Today's memory verses are:
1 Corinthians 9:22-23
Lamentations 3:22-23
We woke up early at Forever Praise Evangelical Church and enjoyed the scenery before beginning the day.
Love :-)
We worshipped together and then converted the sanctuary for our medical and dental teams.
During the setup, some curious kids got a surprise hug!
A few blocks away, along the waters edge, we set up TKD and VBS. Despite being hot and windy, the children enjoyed spending time with us.
The wind made it difficult for the younger kids to hang onto their stickers.
Back at the church, we helped a lot of patients, and prayed with them too.
We did not want to go, but eventually it was time to get back on the boat and sail back to SICAP. We will miss all of you, but hope to come back again!
Our two-day excursion to Tagapul-an Island was spiritually uplifting, but physically strenous. Today's memory verse from Lamentations reminds us that God's love is always with us and that He will reveal His glory to us everyday without fail.
"The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness." - Lamentations 3:22-23
여호와의 인자와 긍휼이 무궁하시므로 우리가 진멸되지 아니함이니이다
이것들이 아침마다 새로우니 주의 성실하심이 크시도소이다 - 예레미야애가 3:22-23

아무도 안들어가는 땅끝 섬마을에서 빗물 모아 받아다가 겨우 겨우 샤워하는 사람들... 이사람들은 세상이 다 잊어버리고 있더라도 주님은 기억하시고 귀하게 여겨 주님의 사람들을 보내십니다. 그래서 우린 고작 며칠 힘들어하며 간것을, 세상 감사해하며 기뻐하는 이들의 모습... 감사한 마음에 눈망울이 초롱초롱한 얼굴로 치료받는 환자들을 치료해준것은 너무나도 행복했고 우리에겐 undeserving grace & privilege였습니다.
가장 작은 것을 받아도 세상 감사해하는 이사람들이 우리보다 더 축복받은 사람들일지도 모릅니다. 어쩔수 없이 가장 안좋은 환경과 시설속에서 치료해줬는데 제일 행복해하고 감사해하던 사람들... 내가 살고 있는 이 곳 갤리포니아에서 최고 시설로 치료해줘도 마음속에 불만불평투성이인 사람들보다... 가진것이 많이 없어서 가장 작은 것에 감사해하는 그분들이 어쩌면 우리보다 더 축복의 사람들이 아닐런지를 깨달으며 진정한 "축복"에 대한 의미를 다시한번 생각해보게 되었습니다. (누가복음 6:20-26)
이 모든것은 다 하나님의 은혜입니다. 우리가 뭐라고, 전혀 deserving 하지 않는 감사를 받아가며 일할수 있게 해주신것도 하나님의 은혜였고, 조금이나마 예수님의 사랑과 손길을 땅끝 귀한 영혼들에게 전해줄 수 있었다는 것도 은혜이며, 원래 날씨예보에 태풍, 소나기가 예상되어 있었는데 배를 타고 3-4시간 들어갔다 나오고 이동할때 바다물결이 잠잠해지고 날씨가 맑았고 아무도 크게 다친 사람 없다는것 이 모든것은 다 하나님의 은혜였습니다. 좋으신 하나님을 찬양합니다.
“Blessed are you who are poor, for yours is the kingdom of God. Blessed are you who hunger now, for you will be satisfied. Blessed are you who weep now, for you will laugh. Blessed are you when people hate you, when they exclude you and insult you and reject your name as evil, because of the Son of Man. Rejoice in that day and leap for joy, because great is your reward in heaven. For that is how their ancestors treated the prophets. But woe to you who are rich, for you have already received your comfort. Woe to you who are well fed now, for you will go hungry. Woe to you who laugh now, for you will mourn and weep. Woe to you when everyone speaks well of you, for that is how their ancestors treated the false prophets."
