Bom Dia!!
오늘은 아마존에서 맞이하는 2번째 날입니다.
Today is the second day at Amazon.
오늘도 어제와 비슷한 일정이라 팀원들 모두 여유있게 일어나겠지? 하였지만
다들 아침 일찍 부터 일어나 분주하게 하루를 준비하고 있어, 저도 후다닥 하루를 팀과 함께 시작하였습니다.
I thought today would have a schedule similar to yesterday, so the team members would probably take it easy and get up slowly, right?
But everyone was already up early in the morning, busily getting ready for the day, so I quickly got myself together and started the day with the team.
여전히 분주한 마음들을 이제는 잠시 내려놓고, 하나님께 아침 예배의 자리로 나아가며 브라질 아마존 땅 에서의 하루를 시작하였습니다.
Still carrying busy hearts, we took a moment to lay them down and stepped into a time of morning worship before God, beginning our day here in the land of the Brazilian Amazon.
조별로 나뉘어 각자가 나눈 큐티 말씀들을 각자 마음에 세기며 하루를 시작하기로 합니다!
We divided into small groups, we each reflected on and shared our QT (Quiet Time) verses, setting them in our hearts as we began the day!
오늘 진행될 VBS와 의료 사역들을 위하여 다 같이 모여 한마음으로 기도하고
VBS팀은 1층에서 아이들을, 의료팀은 2층으로 돌아가 환자들을 돌보고 시작하였습니다.
We all gathered together and prayed with one heart for the VBS and medical missions scheduled for today.
The VBS team began by welcoming the children on the first floor, while the medical team headed to the second floor to care for the patients.
그렇게 몸과 마음으로 준비를 하다, 문뜩 창밖을 내다 보았더니, 몇몇 아이들이 30분 전부터 교회 앞에서 서성이는 모습들을 보았습니다.
이에 몇몇 선생님들이 나가서 아이들과 잠시 동안 놀아주기로 했습니다.
As we were getting ready both physically and spiritually, I happened to glance out the window and saw a few children wandering in front of the church—already there 30 minutes early.
So a few of the teachers went outside to play with the kids for a little while.
자 이제 닫혀있던 문이 열리고 아마존 VBS 둘째 날 아이들이 들어 옵니다!
Now, the once-closed doors open, and the children are coming in for the second day!
신나는 율동과 찬양으로 아이들의 마음을 활짝 열어볼까요??
오늘은 어제와는 다른 아이들이라, 어제의 그 폭팔적인 반응을 이끌어 내기 까지, 선생님들이 많은 수고를 해 주셨습니다 ㅎㅎ
Shall we open the children’s hearts with joyful dance and praise?
Since today’s group of kids is different from yesterday’s, it took quite a bit of effort from the teachers to draw out the same explosive energy and excitement as before
선생님도 아이들도 율동과 가사의 맞춰 신나게!
Both the teachers and the children joyfully moved to the rhythm, dancing and singing along with the lyrics!
의료팀도!
and the medical team too!
같은 시간 2 층 의료사역팀도, 환자들이 몰려오면서 사역이 시작 되었습니다.
At the same time, the medical mission team on the second floor also began their work, receiving patients and starting their ministry.
항상 진료의 마지막은 그들의 영육간의 강건함을 위하여 기도로 보내주고 있습니다.
The final part of every medical consultation is always a prayer—lifting them up for strength and well-being, both in body and spirit.
혹 환자중 믿지 않는 자가 있다면, 새누리교회에서 제공하여 주신 복음팔찌 어플(포어ver.) 으로 그들에게 복음을 전하고 있습니다.
If there are any patients who do not yet believe, we share the gospel with them using the Gospel Bracelet app (Portuguese version) provided by Saenuri Church.
비록 언어는 통하지 않아 통dur으로 손짓 발짓 마디 랭귀지로 전달하고 있지만, 그리스도의 사랑을 전하고 자 하는 마음은 여기 현지인들도 너무 잘 아는지
쉽게 마음을 여시고 복음 팔찌와 복음을 받아 들이시는데에 아무런 거리낌이 없었습니다.
Though we don't share the same language and must rely on gestures, body language, and a few translated words, it seems the heart to share Christ's love is clearly understood—even by the locals here.
They opened their hearts easily and received both the Gospel Bracelet and the message of the gospel without hesitation.
다시 일층으로 내려와 보니, 목사님께서 오늘 말씀을 시작하셨네요.
Back on the first floor, I saw that the pastor had begun sharing today’s message.
오늘의 말씀은 오병이어의 기적 이였습니다.
Today's message was about the miracle of the five loaves and two fish.
오늘 잘 들은 오병이어의 말씀을 가지고,
몸과 마음의 양식을 담을 바구니를 만들어 볼까요?
Next, just like yesterday, we’re going to reflect on the story of the five loaves and two fish.
We’ll be making baskets to hold the nourishment for both body and soul.
크레프트도 재미 있게 끝났으니, 간식 먹고 밖으로 나가보도록 할께요!
Now that the craft activity has ended on a fun note, we’ll have a snack and then head outside!
작은것에서 큰 양식으로 변하는 오병이어에 걸맞는 팝콘을 간식으로 준비해 주셨습니다.
Popcorn was prepared as today’s snack—perfectly fitting the story of the five loaves and two fish, where something small turns into something abundant.
아이들에게도 어떻게 작은 옥수수 알갱이가 큰 팝콘으로 변하는지, 그 모습도 생생하게 보여 주었습니다.
We also showed the children how small kernels of corn transform into big, fluffy popcorn—letting them see that amazing change up close!
자 간식도 먹었으니, 이 넘치는 에너지를 게임으로 사용해 봅시다!
Now that we've had our snack, let's put all this overflowing energy to good use—with some games!

음악에 맞춰 원을 돌다가, 음악이 멈추면 호명하는 번호에 맞추어 그룹을 만들면 되는 아주 쉽지만 어려운 게임!

It’s a simple yet tricky game—everyone walks in a circle to music, and when the music stops, they must quickly form a group with the number of people called out.
탈락자들이 하나 둘씩 늘어나고
One by one, the number of players being eliminated began to grow…
이거이거 점점 재밌어 지는데요?
이어서 2번째 게임은 바로~!

This is getting more and more fun, isn’t it?
Up next, the second game is…
Pass the Ball!
각 팀당 14명의 아이들이 일렬로서, 앞에 놓여있는 공을 위로, 옆으로 뒷사람에게 전달하고, 끝에서 다시 앞으로 먼저 전달하면 이기는 게임.
순발력과 협동심을 기를수 있는 아주 좋은 게임이죠?
Each team lines up with 14 kids standing one behind the other. The ball is passed up, sideways, or backward to the person behind, and when it reaches the end, it’s passed back to the front first—that team wins!
It’s a great game to build quick reflexes and teamwork, isn’t it?
자 그럼 준비하시고......

그렇게 시간가는줄 모르며 신나게 게임을 하고 있을때, 맑았던 하늘에서 갑자기
물방울이 떨어지기 시작했습니다.

어..? 비다
Just as we were having so much fun playing games that we lost track of time, suddenly, from the clear sky above…
Raindrops began to fall.

.
.
Uh… it’s rain!
비록 잠깐의 소나기 였지만, 뜨거웠던 아마존 땅에 날씨에 성령의 단비가 내려,
더웠던 이들에게는 시원함을, 땅에는 생명을 얻는 귀중한 하나님의 선물 같은 시간 이였습니다
Though it was just a brief shower, the refreshing rain felt like a shower of the Holy Spirit on the hot Amazon land.
For those who were feeling the heat, it brought cool relief, and for the earth, it was a precious gift of life from God.
그렇게 비가 오며 VBS 오전 사역을 마무리하고 잠깐 쉬었다가 다시 오후 사역이 시작 됩니다.
As the rain came down, we wrapped up the VBS morning session and took a short break—then it was time to begin the afternoon ministry once again.
오후에 우리아이들에게 전해졌던 말씀은
다윗과 골리앗의 이야기 입니다.
아이들에게 간단한 질문으로 포문을 여신 황목사님
"여러분들은 골리앗을 이길수 있나요?"
The message shared with the children in the afternoon was the story of David and Goliath.
Pastor Hwang opened with a simple yet powerful question:
“Can you defeat Goliath?”

"Sim~~~~~~!!"
어디선가 들려오는 아~~ 주 어린 아이의 대답에
황목사님은 기다렸다는듯 실제 골리앗을 대려오셨습니다
From somewhere in the crowd, a very young child’s voice called out with an enthusiastic answer—
And just as if he’d been waiting for that moment, Pastor Hwang brought out an actual Goliath!
그렇게 아이는 용감히 골리앗을 물리치며 성경과 비슷한(?) 해피 엔딩으로 목사님은 일화를 아이들에게 잘 설명할수 있었습니다,
And just like that, the child bravely defeated Goliath—creating a happy ending that mirrored the Bible story (Sorry… Samuel).
It gave Pastor Hwang the perfect opportunity to explain the lesson in a way the children could understand and remember.
이어지는 크레프트는, 무장하지 않은 다윗에게, 갑옷과 투구, 칼 등을 주며; 하나님의 전신갑주를 입혀 주었습니다.
The craft that followed was all about equipping the unarmed David—with armor, a helmet, and a sword—as a way to illustrate putting on the full armor of God.
같은 시각 2층 의료 사역팀도 오후 사역을 시작하였습니다.
At the same time, the medical mission team on the second floor also began their afternoon ministry.
각자의 자리에서 수고해 주시는 의료 사역팀 께 다시한번 감사와 존경의 말씀을 전합니다.
Once again, we extend our heartfelt gratitude and deep respect to the medical team, who continue to serve faithfully in their respective roles.
다시 1층으로 내려와 보니
아이들은 기차를 만들고 질서정연하게 밖으로 나가고 있네요
Back on the first floor,
the children had formed a train and were heading outside in an orderly and cheerful line!
오후에는 무슨 게임을 하려나...?
I wonder what games are planned for the afternoon...?

그리고 훌라후프 통과하기!
And then—it’s time for Hula Hoop Pass!
자 다음은 줄넘기!
어제와 비슷하게 엄청난 체력을 요하는 게임들로 꽉꽉 체우셨군요 게임팀
Next up—Jump Rope!
Just like yesterday, the games are packed with high-energy activities that require serious stamina. Looks like the game team really went all out again today!
그렇게 얼마나 줄을 신나게 뛰어 넘었을까 무심코 올려다본 하늘엔...
After all that joyful jumping, just as we were catching our breath and glanced up at the sky...
There it was…
무지개...
Rainbow...
“내가 내 무지개를 구름 속에 두었나니 이 것이 나와 세상 사이의 언약의 증거니라” 창 (9:13)
하나님의 생명의 약속을 보며, 우리가 생명을 살리기 위하여 이땅에 와 있다라는 것을 다시 마음속에 새길수 있었습니다.
“I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth.”
— Genesis 9:13
As we looked up and saw God’s promise of life painted across the sky, we were reminded once again, deep in our hearts, of why we are here—to bring life, hope, and the love of Christ to this land.
그렇게 어느덧 시간은 흘려 둘째날 VBS아이들에게도 작별의 시간이 찾아 왔습니다.
And just like that, time flew by—and the moment to say goodbye to the children of our second day of VBS had come.
준비해 갔던 선물들을 아이들에게 주며 아쉬운 마음을 뒤로하고, 아이들에게 나중에 또 보자는 인삿말과 함께 해어졌습니다.
With a bit of sadness in our hearts, we handed out the gifts we had prepared for the children.
Saying, “See you again!” with hopeful smiles, we waved goodbye and parted ways—for now.
아쉬운 마음에 페이스 페인팅도 판박이도 해주며, 아이들이 다 집에 갈때까지 시간을 함께 보냈습니다.
With hearts not quite ready to say goodbye, we spent more time with the children—offering face painting and fun temporary tattoos—staying with them until the very last one headed home.

With a group photo to wrap things up, we bring the second day of VBS to a close.
Looking forward to what tomorrow will bring!
오후에는 현지 목요 예배가 있어, VBS 를 최대한 마무리 하고 준비해서 바로 예배를 드리러 가려 합니다.
In the afternoon, there’s a local Thursday worship service, so we’re planning to wrap up VBS as much as possible and get ready to head straight to the service.
VBS와 의료사역 정리 할 시간도 모자르기도 하지만 모두가 같은 한마음으로 예배를 드릴수 있다는 것에 먼 곳이라도 팀원 모두 기대하는 마음으로 출발 하였습니다
Though there wasn’t quite enough time to fully wrap up VBS, the thought of all of us coming together in one heart for worship—even in a far-off place—filled us with anticipation.
With that shared excitement, the whole team set out, ready to worship.
출발하면서 말씀을 전하실 목사님을 위하여 기도하고
As we set out, we took a moment to pray for the pastor who would be sharing the message—
lifting him up so that God's word would be spoken boldly and clearly through him.
또 선교사님 내외 분들을 위하여 기도하고
We also prayed for the missionary couple—
asking for strength, protection, and continued grace as they serve faithfully in this land.
그렇게 30여분 쯤 지났을때 어딘선가 보이는 빨간~ 불빛
에이 제발.. 설마...
After about 30 minutes on the road, suddenly… we spotted a flashing red light in the distance.
Oh no… please, no... not that…
작년 선교일지를 보신분들은 아시겠지만,
에어컨이 되지 않는 구식 소형 버스 A.K.A 모기버스가 우리를 교회로 대려다 주기 위하여 기다리고 있었습니다.
if you read last year’s mission journal, you’ll know exactly what this means…
Waiting to take us to the church was the old, small bus without air conditioning—affectionately (or not) known as the “Mosquito Bus.”
Yes... it’s back.
버스에 자리가 남아 있지 않아 같이온 차 뒷 트렁크에 앉아서 가기로 하였습니다.
Since there weren’t any seats left on the bus, some of us decided to ride in the back trunk of the car we came in.
Not the most comfortable option—but with cheerful hearts, we made it work
그렇게 현지 교회에 예배를 드리러 잘 도착하였습니다.
And just like that, we arrived safely at the local church for worship.
Tired but joyful, ready to lift our hearts in praise.

목사님의 설교 도중 정전이 되는 사고가 일어나기도 하고 스킷 도중에 음악이 꺼지는 바람에 갑분싸가 되기도 하였습니다. 그러나
오늘날 우리가 현지인들과 함께 예배함으로서 여러가지를 느낄수 있엇는데요
바로 서로 사랑으로 전심을 다해 해주는 기도 였습니다.
During the pastor’s sermon, there was a sudden power outage, and the music unexpectedly stopped in the middle of a skit, leaving the room in awkward silence for a moment.
But despite the hiccups, something beautiful stood out—
Worshiping together with the local believers reminded us of the power of prayer offered in love and with all our hearts.
No stage lights, no perfect timing—just genuine faith and heartfelt intercession.
우선은 개척을 하신 클라우지우 목사님과, 현재 이 교회에서 헌신하고 계신 목사님을 위하여 기도하였습니다.
First, we lifted up prayers for Pastor Cláudio, who founded the church,
and for the current pastor faithfully serving and dedicating himself to this congregation.
We prayed for strength, wisdom, and God's continued guidance in their ministry.
그 다음은 서로를 위하여 기도하는 시간을 가졌습니다.
언어도, 문화도 다른 그들을 어떻게 나의 형제로 자매로서 전심으로 나를 위해 기도해 줄수 있을까 라는 질문은 늘 해온것 같습니다.
그러나 곳곳에서 볼수 있는 아맨과 할렐루야, 또 눈물로서 누군가를 전심으로 기도해 주는 것을 보며 그런 외형적인 것들은 그리스도의 사랑을 실천하는것에 있어 큰 의미가 없다는 것을 느낄수 있었습니다.
Next, we had a time of prayer for one another.
I've often wondered: “How can someone so different from me—in language, in culture—pray for me as a true brother or sister, with all their heart?”
And yet, in that place, we saw it clearly—
cries of “Amen” and “Hallelujah” echoing around the room,
tears falling as people prayed earnestly for others they had just met.
It was truly a beautiful sight—a glimpse of the body of Christ united in love and faith beyond borders.
그렇게 현지 목요예배를 마무리 하고 다시 베이스 캠프로 가기로 했습니다.
And with that, we wrapped up the local Thursday worship service and began our journey back to base camp.
Hearts full, spirits lifted, and one step closer to the next chapter of this mission.
내일은 아침에 아마존 주변 으로 노방전도를 나가기에, 시간이 부족하여
늦은 시간 피곤한 몸이만 지금 까지 사역했던 짐들을 다시 정리해야만 했습니다.
Since we’ll be heading out for street evangelism around the Amazon area early tomorrow morning, time is tight.
Though it was late and our bodies were tired, we still had to reorganize and pack up all the supplies from the ministry we've carried out so far.
팀 구분 없이 서로 협력하여 모든 짐들과 사용했던 교회를 깨끗하게 정리하였습니다. 내일은 아마존 근방 예배후 노방전도를 나가게 됩니다. 만날 만 한 사람들을 만나게 하시고, 한 영혼을 잃어 버렸다 다시 찾은 아버지의 마음을 느낄수 있는 소중한 시간이 되길 기도해 주세요!
Without dividing by team, everyone came together to help—cleaning up the church we used and packing all the supplies with care and unity.
Tomorrow, after a nearby worship gathering in the Amazon region, we’ll be heading out for street evangelism.
Please pray that we would encounter those whom God has prepared for us to meet—
and that through this, we may deeply experience the Father’s heart for even one lost soul who is found again.
May it be a truly precious and grace-filled time.

이지수 작성일할렐루야! 기도로 하나되는 선교팀과 브라질 영혼들을 보며 하나님의 언약의 증거인 무지개가 바로 우리가 바라보는 서로의 안에 있음을 봅니다. 계속해서 서로가 서로에게 복음의 증거이자 하나님의 사랑의 증거가 되어주는 귀하고 은혜로운 시간이 되기를 기도합니다. 역시 브라질은 삼바의 나라답게 예배때도 흥이 많군요... ㅎㅎ 승주찬!

와 정말 알찬 선교일지네요. 하루가 은혜넘치는 포인트들이 몇개인지!!!
바쁜 스케줄을 소화하면서도 표정이 밝아보이는 우리 선교팀!! 정말 하나님과 동행함에 얼굴이 빛나네용. 내일 있을 아마존 노방전도도 기대됩니다. 기도합니다!!! 하나님이 하십니다!!

하나님의 은혜 안에서 선교 팀원들과 현지 브라질 영혼들 사이에 하나님의 사랑이 가득 넘쳐나는 모습을 보게 하시니 참으로 감사합니다.
언어가 다르고 문화가 달라도, 하나님의 사랑은 그 모든 장벽을 뛰어넘어 마음과 마음을 이어주고 계심을 느낍니다.
바쁘고 피곤한 일정 가운데서도 하나님께서 팀원들의 건강을 지켜 주시고, 매 순간마다 필요한 힘과 기쁨을 공급해 주시길 기도합니다.
특별히 내일 있을 노방 전도 사역 가운데, 복음의 씨앗이 뿌려지고, 많은 영혼들이 주님의 품으로 돌아오는 놀라운 역사가 일어나길 간절히 소망합니다.

의료팀 VBS팀 서로 장소가 다르고 특히 VBS팀이 한 운동장에서의 게임이 궁금했는데 사진으로 볼수있어 행복합니다 선교일지 감사해요
